Israeli Absorption Minister Yuli Edelstein said Jewish settlements on the West Bank were vital to Israel’s security interests. Edelstein, who spoke during a tour of the West Bank, made his comments in the wake of the Israeli army’s release of a “national interests map” that left out 59 West Bank settlements.
