Israeli and Palestinian officials said that a meeting between Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat may not take place as planned. The two leaders were slated to hold a joint meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik, but Barak said he may not go.
