Israeli and Palestinian security officials met this week in Cairo to discuss ways to restore calm in the territories, the Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported. During the meeting, the head of the Palestinian preventive security service, Jibril Rajoub, promised no more shots would be fired at Jerusalem’s Gilo neighborhood, the paper reported.
