Rina Kishon, Miss Israel, presented today to the city of New York a collection of gladiola blossoms and bulbs. The token of friendship to the City of New York was presented at the Spring Festival Luncheon of the Women’s Division of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York in Manhattan’s Central Park.
The blossoms were flown in yesterday by E1 A1 Airlines. The flowers were accepted by the New York City Parks Commissioner Newbold Morris. The plants will be planted in Central Park. Mrs. Frances J. Bloustein, city-wide chairman of the UJA Women’s Division, presided at the ceremony.
