An Israeli exhibit of books and publications produced in the Jewish State in the Hebrew, Yiddish and English languages created considerable interest here at the annual Frankfurt Book Fair. Visitors paid special attention to literature dealing with the Dead Sea Scrolls and publications by Yad Vashem, the Israeli national memorial to 6, 000 European Jewish martyrs, dealing with the tragic annihilation of European Jewry by the Nazis.
German publishers have also announced a number of new books dealing with the Nazi persecution of the Jews. Among them are the members of Auschwitz death camp commandant H. Hoess, a documentary history of the Theresienstadt concentration camp and a biography of Raoul Wallenburg, the Swedish diplomat who saved the lives of tens of thousands of Hungarian Jews. The last was written by Josef Wulf, Jewish Telegraphic Agency correspondent, in Berlin.
