The Society of British Aerospace Companies has told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that there was no truth to reports that political considerations had entered into the exclusion of the Israeli-made combat jet “Kfir” from the prestigious British Air Show at Farnborough in September. The SBAC, organizers of the event, said the “Kfir” would not be displayed or demonstrated because its manufacturer. Israel Aircraft Industries, had applied too late. “They are the victims of their own slow decision-making machinery.” an SBAC spokesman said.

A spokesman for the Israeli Embassy here expressed surprise over the exclusion of the “Kfir” He said that a newsletter circulated by the SBAC stated that entries would be welcomed up to the eve of the show.
