Israeli forces opened fire on a Jordanian diplomatic car at a crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip. Following the incident, in which no one was harmed, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry asked Israel for an explanation. An Israeli official said a grenade was thrown at an army position at the crossing around the time the Jordanian car arrived, prompting Israeli soldiers to open fire.
