Israeli Govt. Appoint Arpalsa Economic Representative in Argentina; Trade Talks Open

The Israeli Government has appointed the Ar####tine Palestine Economic Corporation (ARPAISA) its representative in all economic tr####aotions with the Argentine Government, it was announced here. Negotiations for c######sion of an economic treaty between Israel and Argentina have already been start###### Dr. Carlos Grunberg, Israeli liaison official here, participating in the talks.Since the proclamation of Israeli statehood, more than $5,000,000 worth of g### have been purchased by the Jewish state from Argentina, it was revealed by Dr. J#### Mirelman, vice-president of the ARPAISA. He said that no goods from Israel were #####ted by Argentina because the Argentine Central Bank has refused to extend import is###es for Israeli products.Argentine President Juan Peron recently pledged that trade relations between #####l and Argentina will be on a reciprocal basis. It is expected, therefore, that in time Israeli products will reach this country and will include cement, artificial ####h, chemicals, wines, citrus fruits, diamonds and religious articles.

Meanwhile, the ARPAISA announced that it is arranging a special tourist trip ## Israel in May. A plane accommodating 40 passengers has already been chartered for th## purpose, it was revealed. Other organizations have disclosed that they are or####sing excursions to the Jewish state.
