Israeli health officials are planning to begin vaccinating hospital staff against smallpox Wednesday. The move is the first step toward fulfilling a Security Cabinet decision to vaccinate some 15,000 security, health and rescue personnel who would comprise the “first response” teams should Iraq launch a biological attack on Israel.
