The Israeli Institute for Planning and Development has been awarded a $600,000 contract for the development of a 65,000 square mile area in northern Thailand. The region is more than twice the size of Israel including all the Arab territories occupied in the June, 1967 war. The announcement of the contract said that $250,000 of the fee will be contributed by the United Nations Development Program and the balance by the Thai government.
