Israeli commander for Jerusalem Col. Moshe Dayan has advised Lt. Col. Abdullah el Tel, Arab Legion commander, that since the cease-fire in Jerusalem is now being observed fully, further meetings between the two should deal with the subject of a transition to an armistice and, later, to a permanent peace settlement, an official communique said today.

El Tel replied that he would refer the matter to his government for further instructions. Earler, it was announced that the Israeli Government is prepared to facilitate the observance of Christmas in Jerusalem.
