Israeli Air Force planes returned safely today after attacking terrorist bases in Jordanian territory in response to last night’s strikes on settlements in the Beisan and Jordan Valleys. An Army spokesman announced that two terrorists were killed and three captured Tuesday in the Jordan Valley, with the Israeli patrol suffering no casualties. Two Israeli settlements and an army post came under rocket and mortar fire from Jordanian territory last night. There were no casualties and the fire was returned. Rockets were fired at Ashdot Yaacob south of the Sea of Galilee and a nearby army post. Yardena settlement in the Beisan area was attacked by mortar fire.
