Israeli jets struck a Hezbollah command center Tuesday in the Syrian-controlled Bekaa Valley this week. Israeli air force helicopters also rocketed Hezbollah targets north of the security zone. The airstrikes, which marked the second time this year that Israel has struck deep into Lebanon, came after an Israeli soldier was killed Monday by a roadside bomb planted by Hezbollah gunmen.
