Israeli Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg said he does not think it is possible to reach an agreement with the Palestinians in the two remaining days before President Clinton’s scheduled departure Wednesday for the G8 summit in Japan. Burg, who spoke with Prime Minister Ehud Barak, said Israeli and Palestinian negotiators at Camp David have never been closer, but large gaps remain on key issues like Jerusalem.
