Israeli Line Starts Passenger Service Between U.S. and Haifa

The Israeli Judges Line, a new shipping enterprise operating under sole franchise from the Israeli Government, announced the opening of regular scheduled monthly service between the United States Gulf and South Atlantic ports, and Haifa. The maiden voyage of the company’s flagship, S.S. Ben-Nun, is scheduled from New Orleans about February 25th, with stops at Houston, Galveston and Savannah, Regularly scheduled steps will be made at Haifa. Tel Aviv, Piraeus, Genoa and Barcelona.

The company also announced the purchase of the 9,100-ton S.S. Henri Jaspar, from the Belgian Line, The ship is to be delivered to the Israeli Judges Line at Haifa, in May, and will be immediately entered into the regular services of the line between the United States, South Atlantic and Gulf ports via the Mediterranean to Israel.
