Israeli military investigators identified the remains of a soldier killed in fighting nearly 60 years ago. The body of Mordechai Franko, a Palmach fighter who died trying to break the Arab siege on Jerusalem during the 1948 War of Independence, was found in a burial plot near Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim, just west of Jerusalem, Israel Radio reported Monday. Franko will be reinterred with full military honors next week.
