Ehud Avriel, Israeli Minister to Czechoslovakia and Hungary, today presented his credentials to President Arpad Szakasitz at his official residence. Avriel was accompanied to Szakasitz’ palace by members of the Israeli legation. The trip to the palace was made in a procession of automobiles draped with Israeli flags. ,p/>Responding to Avriel’s formal Hebrew speech, President Szakasitz stressed that the Hungarian people were sympathetic to all who fight for liberty and pledged every assistance to the new state. Avriel is scheduled to meet with a number of Cabinet members to discuss various questions concerning relations between the two countries.
