Several of the Israeli ministers today requested to be released from the collective responsibility agreement which binds them to support the Government measure introduced in the Knesset recommending the establishment of an educational television network. The Cabinet decided to submit the request to the Coalition presidium for a ruling.

The Cabinet also decided to grant service credit to Government employees who had served in the Irgun Zvai Leumi and Lechi, the formerly non-recognized underground organizations active before the establishment of the State. The veterans of the two groups will now receive the same credit for pension purposes already granted to Government employees who formerly worked for the Jewish Agency, the Vaad Leumi and employees of the Mandatory regime, and whose periods of service in the pre-state groups are added to their Government service for pension computations.
