A young Israeli Army officer, Lt. Amit Yechieli of Kibbutz Baram, was killed and two Israeli soldiers were wounded today in a clash with terrorist infiltrators from Lebanon. One terrorist was killed and another was wounded and captured.
The clash, the first serious encounter in many months along the Lebanese border, took place in a hilly region of Upper Galilee. Russian-made Kalachnikov rifles and ammunition were found on the terrorists.
