Israeli officials asked a Jerusalem court to allow for the extradition of a U.S. teen-ager alleged to have committed a brutal murder. Samuel Sheinbein, 17, fled to Israel in September after the death of a 19-year-old Maryland man. After pressure from the United States, Israel’s attorney general ruled that Sheinbein was not an Israeli citizen.
