Israeli officials differ on the extent of a planned troop withdrawal from southern Lebanon. Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh said Israel retains the right to maintain several outposts within Lebanon after the withdrawal. Justice Minister Yossi Beilin countered that anything less than a full withdrawal would ruin attempts to enlist international support for the move.
