Israeli opposition leader Shimon Peres met with West Bank settlers slated for evacuation. Residents of Ganim and Kadim, two of four settlements to be dismantled in 2005 under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s withdrawal plan, hosted Peres on Sunday. Peres promised the settlers that he would raise the matter in coalition negotiations with Sharon, the Ma’ariv newspaper said.
