A bill providing for the rehabilitation of veterans of the Israeli armed forces has been adopted here by an overwhelming majority in the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament. The bill will become effective May 15.
The Knesset was informed by Minister of Education Zalman Shazar that he would soon introduce a bill providing for compulsory, free education. David Pinkas, the chairman of the Finance Committee, reported to the body that the Government is planning to submit Israel’s first peace-time budget within the next month.In the meantime, he asked that the Knesset extend the present temporary budget for another month.
