Israeli police are searching for a U.S. military officer who is missing from his base in Texas and believed to be in the Jewish state. A woman claiming to be the girlfriend of Jeremiah Mattysse, who reportedly is a convert to Judaism, said the lieutenant colonel had spied for Israel. Israeli sources said Mattysse’s disappearance was more likely related to a romantic entanglement.
