Israeli police detained four fervently Orthodox Jews who tried to disrupt a mixed prayer service that some 200 members of the Conservative movement held last Friday at the Western Wall. Angry that men and women were praying together, fervently Orthodox demonstrators hurled plastic bottles at the worshipers, who had gathered for Shavuot services. One woman was lightly injured after being struck in the head by a bottle.
