An Israeli police jeep was fired on last night by unidentified assailants in midtown Jenin, in the occupied West Bank. The driver of the vehicle managed to maneuver it in a way which permitted all of the occupants to escape being hit. Several bullets hit the jeep. The assailants used two machineguns, police said. The incident occurred just after the start of curfew. The curfew was extended this morning to enable continuation of the search for the gunners.
