Israeli police recommended that Deputy Housing Minister Meir Porush, of the fervently Orthodox Agudat Yisrael party, be charged with fraud and breach of trust for allegedly promising favors and building projects to firms that promised to appoint his associates to senior positions. The recommendation will now be reviewed by the prosecutors office, which will decide whether to issue a formal indictment.
