Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied that his government had given Israeli rabbis permission to make contact with Iranian clerics. The comment came after Rabbi Menachem Froman of the West Bank settlement of Tekoa was quoted in the Israeli media as saying that the contacts have been going on for several months.
