Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed he would not cede another inch of West Bank land until the Palestinian Authority renounces plans to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state next year. Speaking at a news conference with a somber-faced President Clinton at his side, the premier called the plans a “gross violation of the Oslo and Wye accords.” Clinton is on a three-day visit to the region in hopes of rescuing the Wye agreement.
