Israeli Prime Minister-elect Ehud Barak promised Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that he would resume peace talks with the Palestinians as soon as he forms his government, Egypt’s foreign minister said Tuesday. The two spoke by telephone Monday, Amre Moussa said, adding that Mubarak had conveyed Barak’s message to Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.
