Israeli prosecutors charged a Maryland teen-ager with first-degree murder in a 1997 dismemberment killing. Monday’s indictment of Samuel Sheinbein came one day after a Supreme Court judge issued a final ruling preventing him from being extradited to the United States to face similar charges. At Monday’s hearing, Sheinbein was ordered held until April 19, when the court will hear a prosecution request to keep him in jail until the trial’s end.
