The possibilities for increased trading between Canada and Israel are being studies here by Abraham Kahane, vice-president of a Tel Aviv bank and member of the Customs Tariff Board of Israel.
“Israel needs Canada’s lumber, paper, milk, powder, canned meats and fish, as well as building materials,” Mr. Kahane declared to representatives of the press here. “In return, it is prepared to export to Canada its wines, liquors, chocolate and other products.” He officially represented the Jewish state at the twelfth international congress of the World Chambers of Commerce, held in the city of Quebec.
