Israeli researchers accused the Palestinians of inflating their population figures in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. According to a new census presented Wednesday to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, there are 2.4 million Palestinians in the territories, one-third fewer than the official 3.6 million figure put out by the Palestinian Authority.
