Officials here have reported that an Israeli scientist had been invited to serve as chairman of the opening session of an international scientific conference to be held in Moscow Oct. 4-16. Prof. Michael Sela, dean of the biology faculty at the Weizmann Institute, was scheduled to leave today for a visit to East European countries. During that visit he will be chairman of the opening session in Moscow of a World Health Organization seminar on the structure of antibodies.
Prof. Sela also will visit Rumania and attend tomorrow the seventh meeting of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies in Varna, Bulgaria. Four other Weizmann Institute professors also are attending the Varna meeting. In Rumania, of Sciences and will participate Sept. 28-29 in Rumania’s first symposium on immunology, his specialty.
