Israeli security forces foiled a Palestinian suicide bombing planned for Tel Aviv. Acting on an intelligence tip, paramilitary police and Shin Bet agents on Tuesday pulled over a van headed from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. Inside the vehicle were 10 Palestinians and a bag containing an 11-pound bomb. All the passengers were taken into custody, though some were believed to be day laborers from the West Bank unconnected to the attempted attack. There was no immediate claim of responsibility from Palestinian terrorist groups.
