Israeli settlers and Palestinian olive-pickers clashed Monday near the West Bank city of Nablus. Israeli security officials said the confrontation was sparked when Palestinians, who had heard a rumor in nearby mosques that settlers had killed a Palestinian, burned the settlers’ field, Israel Radio reported.
