One of two Israeli soldiers injured last night by mortar fire from Lebanese territory died today and was buried tonight in Haifa Military Cemetery. He was identified as Pvt. Nissim Cohen of Givat Adda. He and a fellow soldier were fired on at Djabel Rouss on the slopes of Mt. Hermon. An Israeli Arab was injured yesterday in Gaza by a hand grenade thrown at an Israeli car. Security forces are investigating the incident. Authorities are also investigating the damaging last night of a power pylon in the Gerofit area, near the Jordanian border 30 miles north of Eilath. (In Sidon, Lebanon, yesterday, 25 miles southwest of Beirut, at least two persons were killed and five injured in street fighting between Al Fatah and As Saiqa guerrillas and supporters of Egypt’s acceptance of the United States peace initiative. The shoot-out, the most extended in the country in the past few months, ended after a few hours. The pro-Egyptian leader in the battle, Maarouf Saad, and his son Mustafa were abducted by the commandos but later released. The guerrillas apparently acted following reports that Mr. Saad’s supporters had planted explosives in an Al Fatah office. Damage from the explosion was slight.)
