Israeli technical assistance to Latin America will be stepped up under the new two-year pact signed here over the weekend by Ambassador Yitzhak Rabin and representatives of the Organization of American States, it was reported here yesterday. The Israeli government will be contributing $250,000, and the Inter-American Bank another $500,000, for the extension to Latin America of Israeli OAS rural and urban aid programs carried out in Central America and the Caribbean over the past four years. The new programs will include training courses in Israel for Latin American agronomists; an ecology conference in Rehovoth in August, 1971, experimental citrus plantations in Uruguay; new settlements linking Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, with Belo Horizonte; development projects in Paraguay and the possibility of establishing an arid-land institute with Argentina, Mexico and Chile.
