A group of Israelis gathered at Lydda Airport today to greet a man who helped save their lives during the Nazi occupation of Poland in World War II. The visitor is Staszek Jetzkowski, 56, a Pole who rescued some 40 Jews in the Galician town of Stanislavow. He hid them in bunkers in the basement of the local Gestapo headquarters.
