Israelis who were detained by the United States after the Sept. 11 attacks say they “were treated like terrorists.” Five of the Israelis returned to their homeland last week after spending more than two months in jail on suspicion of participation in terrorist activities. They said they were placed in solitary confinement and held with Muslim and Arab prisoners who beat them, the Jerusalem Post reports.
