Israel’s acceptance into the International Red Cross movement may be in jeopardy. The Swiss foreign minister and an official with the International Committee of the Red Cross both cited problems in brokering the deal which, if passed June 20-21, would end nearly six decades of Israeli exclusion from the movement because of pressure from Arab and Islamic nations.
