Chaim Gvati, Israel’s Agriculture Minister, arrived in Venezuela on a four day official visit that will wind up a tour of Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
He was met at the airport by Venezuela’s Agriculture Minister and other dignitaries as he began a crowded program of trips by special plane to various agricultural regions, including development areas where Israeli planners and technicians have been involved.
Mr. Gvati is scheduled to be received by President Raul Leoni and to address a joint session of the agricultural committees of the two Houses of Congress. He also is scheduled to meet with a large number of Venezuelan technicians who visited Israel on official missions or for training.
