Israel’s defence minister came out against calls to demolish settler property after Israel quits the Gaza Strip. “After we evacuate the settlers we would have to maintain military forces, security guards and units to raze the houses in the middle of enemy territory, and there is no assurance that there wouldn’t be terror attacks,” Shaul Mofaz told Israel Radio on Wednesday.
