Israel’s foreign minister said the Iraq war has caused more Arabs to consider forging contacts with Israel. Speaking in Davos, Switzerland, Silvan Shalom said more Arab moderates are willing to make political contacts with the Jewish state now that they are no longer afraid of deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. The secretary-general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, dismissed the talk of greater ties.
