The 20,000 government workers who threatened to go on a two-hour “warning strike” today in protest against delays in settling their grievances decided this morning to postpone the strike following a decision taken by the Cabinet on the problem.
The Cabinet decision provides for the appointment of two Ministers to deal with the demands of the civil servants. The workers gave the Governement time until next Wednesday to settle their grievances, and if no satisfactory agreement is reached by that time, the strike will take place on the following day.
