Israel’s Interior Ministry began issuing identity cards that do not specify the holder’s nationality. Thursday’s move came after the High Court of Justice issued a ruling last month that people who undergo Reform and Conservative conversions should be recorded as Jews on their identity cards. The idea to completely cancel the nationality line came about in an attempt to circumvent the court ruling.
