Israel’s Likud Party held primaries to determine its slate of Knesset candidates in the May elections. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had sought to postpone the vote because of the funeral of Jordan’s King Hussein, but party lawyers said the Likud constitution does not allow for a postponement. Some 2,700 members of the party’s Central Committee were eligible to take part in the vote.
