Israel’s new satellite went into action. Israel’s Defense Ministry announced Thursday that the Ofeq-7, which was launched early this week, had successfully entered orbit and was broadcasting ground photographs according to schedule. Ofeq-7 is billed as boosting Israel’s surveillance over enemies like Iran and Syria. It will remain in orbit for an estimated four years before burning out.
