“The next and greatest battle of Israel’s history will be fought not by diplomats, nor on international blackboards, but by plows on the land of Israel,” Israel’s Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett told an audience of 15,000 persons last night at the Boston Garden.
Making his first appearance in Boston since Israel gained its independence in 1948, Mr. Sharett expressed the gratitude of the Israel Government to Boston Jewry for their support of the Israel Bond Issue with sales totalling $6,398,000 in 13 months.
