Israel’s Supreme Court heard an appeal from Yitzhak Rabin’s assassin. Yigal Amir, his brother Hagai and his friend Dror Adani, appealed their sentences for conspiring to assassinate Rabin and attack Arabs. The attorney for Yigal Amir, who is serving a life sentence for shooting Rabin at a Tel Aviv peace rally in November 1995, said contacts were currently underway with prison authorities to see if the two brothers could serve out their sentences in the same cell. Prison officials denied that such a move was being considered.
